100th Anniversary of the Tunguska Blast

One-hundred years ago in a remote part of Siberia, something very rare happened. To this day no one is exactly certain what it was. To put it as simply as possible, it was an explosion. Most estimates of the magnitude of the explosion fall in the ten to fifteen megaton range. The most widely-accepted theory is that it was an asteroid that exploded in the air. However, there are a lot of weird things about the event. The UFO folks have even gotten hold of it.

This is a fantastic mystery that I remember becoming aware of through TV at several different times. Below are a few links to get you started.
